The French Experience 2016

Chateau de Brametourte, Lautrec,

Midi Pyrenees,

Southwest France.

Capture the impressions and the beautiful light of the South of France on canvas,  film or both.

Even if you have never picked up a paintbrush before, you will be amazed at what you can achieve with encouragement and the inspiration of our hand picked venues.

Discover the oasis of calm that is the Château de Brametourte. Nestling amongst sunflower fields, a stone’s throw from the medieval village of Lautrec, to the northeast of Toulouse, your base for our art experience. The Chateau has direct connections with the Henri Toulouse-Lautrec who’s ancestors once owned the beautiful medieval Chateau. Historically the Chateau has also been connected to the Cathars and has an ancient well in the grounds, a pilgrimage site and a source of prosperity and luck.

By day we will take you to a range of venues for inspiration and help you to capture the stunning views. After dinner on the terrace at the Chateau guests are free explore the local village of Lautrec with it’s local Terrasse bar or the bohemian Cafe Plum in the centre of the village, a haven for the musician, intellectual or artist. Or just stroll through the beautiful countryside and enjoy observing an impressive array of flora and fauna.
